I saw a little about your ministry in our church newsletter from Ardmore Baptist Church. Mike Knuckolls visited your ministry and put an article in our newsletter. I would dearly love to volunteer or do whatever I can to help with this ongoing ministry you started. I am involved with the Battered Women’s Shelter in Winston-Salem and I volunteer at the Homeless Shelters during the winter. My heart is so full just knowing you and many others are helping these women with their addiction problem. Praise God He laid this on your heart to help in this way. I would love to come visit. I will be in prayer for the continuation of this wonderful ministry.
    Love in Christ,

Susan, we always can use volunteers. Our thrift store in Pfafftown needs volunteers and there are many other areas of need, also. Please send me your address and I’ll send out our volunteer packet. Thank you. You sound quite active in service.

I live inPfafftown and have a 20 year old struggling with Addiction . We sent her to FL a year ago for treatment and now she is in CA doing IOP. She has relapse 3 times in 2 months an overdosed twice. She has lost everything this last time has no clothes and just got out a week ago from detox into a half way. I want to get her out of CA to a place where she can find healing and a long term facility if possible. I need to get her some clothes as well. Where is your thrift store?

        • Reply pborton

          Silvia,

Our thrift store is in Pfafftown at 6208 Yadkinville Rd. Tues-Sat 10-4. Maybe she would be interested in our facility in East Bend. We have an application on this website. She would need to agree to go to a 6-12 month long Christian rehab. We work with 38 of them all over the US. I hope she is doing well, but if not, maybe we can help.

I have some old (last year I think) church literature. Probably twenty books or more. Would you all be interested? If so just let me know and they are yours. Our church was the one that sent the Christmas baskets either last year or year before so you came to my mind to offer them to you first. Thanks for all you do.

Your staff person, whose name I forgot, gave a powerful testimony at Celebrate Recovery last Tuesday evening. She is a credit to you and of course, our Lord. I take inmates to this CR meeting.

    Press on!

    Hi,

I lived here for about 6 weeks about two years ago. I am currently in treatment in Florida, and I’m looking for somewhere to stay when I return to North Carolina. I was wondering what your waiting list might look like right now? I will call you later but if you receive this before then, please call my patient advocate, Shelby, at (949)324-9837.

    Thank you in advanced!

    • Reply pborton

Natalie, hope you are doing well. Are you talking about coming here to go to another rehab? Are you completing a long-term Christian treatment facility and therefore wanting a transition home? We have that also now, in Winston Salem. Just let me know. We have applications for both on our website. Paula

I am writing on behalf of Open Door Christian Ministries Children’s Home in Creswell, NC. We are a children’s home located on the coast of NC and we would love to partner with you if any of the ladies you are working with need placement for their children while they are at Solus Christus. Our mission is to minister to the children placed in our care by teaching them about the love of Jesus and maintaining a loving Christian environment for them to live, learn and grow in.
We are a 501C non-profit receiving no government support. Our financial support comes from churches and individuals that believe in our mission. There is no cost for our services but we do ask parents to provide child support if they have the means.

    • Reply pborton

Carla, thank you for contacting us. We will definitely be talking. Lots of our women have children. Most have them stay with their parents. But, if there is a need we will be in contact.

My Daughter is currently in jail and needs rehab. She is willing to go somewhere but she has lost faith in God. So sad and we have tried everything to get her to believe in him again and it’s a backseat everytime something bad happens to her again. I know he is dealing with her and she is about at here lowest point . So you take someone with a past felony. I am willing to help her get out of jail if she can get into a rehab but she can’t apply from there. What is the length of your program and what is the cost – she has no income rt now and no insurance . She was doing great for about 8 months or longer than had a few setbacks and messed up again . She is in jail for misdemeanors only rt now

    • Reply pborton

Donna, Yes we work with felons. Many, many ladies apply from jail. Send her an application or give it to her lawyer. After she sends it back we can set up a phone interview. We cannot accept anyone out on bond, but out on probation is fine. We ask for $50/week, but if she can’t afford that it won’t keep her from coming. We do not accept insurance. Have you been to our website? We are the first step if someone wants to go to a 6-12 month long Christian rehab. WE work with a little over 30 such rehabs all around the USA. I’d love to help her.

    Hi,
My name is Ricki Lynn Mehaffey and I am the director of a ministry in Waynesville NC, LifeWorks with CWJC. As I watched your video, my heart is united with yours, knowing that it’s the heart of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have been a part of Haywood County for nine years as a day ministry and now we know God is leading us into a discipleship home. In your video, you quoted a statistic concerning Christian and non Christian rehabs. Would it be possible for you to pass that on to me or tell me where you found it? I am not sure where to look. A lot of our women are coming out of our local jail, where we minister weekly and I would love to share with them, as well as my board and donors as we go forth in the Lord’s plan. I spoke to one of your staff a few weeks ago concerning a lady needing a place to go and have been praying for you and the women there to continue to walk in the ways of our Lord.Thank you so much for being obedient to the call of the Lord!
Thank you so much for this consideration. I look forward to hearing from you!
    Ricki Lynn

    • Reply pborton

Ricki Lynn, I’m sorry its taken so long for me to get back to the comments on our website. The statistic is from Teen Challenge. It has proven to be true for us, too. God is moving among the broken in addiction. It is so rewarding to watch His power to help and restore. I wish you the best as you too work with women.

I’ve just listened to your heart warming video. Thank you for all that you do. My daughter is currently in jail. She has been there for 2 1/2 weeks. She has been on drugs for awhile. I’ve been praying for God to send her help. She has no money, but does have Medicaid. Do you take girls that are on house arrest. She is 41 yrs old. Thank you and God bless!

    • Reply pborton

Rebecca, Our county does not allow women here that are on house arrest. Probation is fine though. We do not take Medicaid. But, if a women does not have funds to pay $50/week it won’t stop her from being admitted. I’m sorry this response is over a month later. If we can help, please give us a call at 336-813-3007. Paula

I am trying to get help for my niece who reached out to me about a month ago. Off and on communication. She understands she has to commit. She said she was ready but now I haven’t heard from her since Friday. I would like to know more about your program in case she goes through with it. Just trying to be prepared. I am a born again believer and have been in many ministries. I also have some drug addiction experiences from other family members. I don’t know much about Meth but heard it is very mental rather than physical.
Thank you for what you are doing to help women.
