I am seeking a safe house or program for my daughter who has a life-long eating disorder – not a drug or alcohol addiction. She is currently in a medical program to stabilize her but needs a rehab program to go to for the long term. She has been dealing with this for 30 years and medical programs do not get to the bottom of her issues and problems. Please let me know if you can recommend a program for her. Thank you – a concerned mother.

Donna, we don’t work with eating disorders. You might try Mercy Multiplied. They do.

I am the site Coordinator for the Christian Women’s Job Corps of Bladen County, NC. Hopefully, we will be up and running very soon, with participants. We are a ministry of Bladen Baptist Association in Elizabethtown, NC. We help women get out of poverty with this faith based ministry, however, we do not have the capabilities to help women with substance abuse problems. We can help them once they are substance abuse free.

We need to have possibilities of offering a direction to get help with any woman that is wanting to get substance free from our area, so we can help them once they are clean. We are looking for locations in NC or SC that would not be a tremendous distance to go for help.

I have a person that is currently in jail on drug charges and I do not know what is going to happen to her legally. She is a recent widow and has no children. Depending on what happens, I would like to be able offer her an alternative for help, if she so desires. There may be others in the future that may need help, too.

Thank you for your assistance with information.

    In Christ,
    Jennifer Carter

Jennifer, did we talk? I just saw this post to our website. We are here to help women in addiction that want to go to a long-term Christian treatment facility – 6-12 months long. They can fill out the application on the website and get it back to us. Then, have her call and ask for a phone interview. We’ll help all we can. Paula Borton, Director

My daughter is 25. Intravenous heroin and cocaine addict. I brought her to NC to detox her then hopefully go into a rehab. Do you know of any that have animals she can tend to? She loves animals and I think an environment like that would help. I have heard of such places but know of none. On top of her addiction her self esteem is no existent. She really needs help.

      Pamela,

Our home has alpacas, goats, a pig, chickens, dogs, cats, gardens. If she still needs help have her fill out an application. We’ll help her if we can.
